Palladium Hotel Group has revealed plans for a new hotel brand, ‘BLESS Collection Hotels’, targeted at the contemporary luxury market.

Owner: The group has signed a management contract with investment groups, Grupo Didra and AINA Capital, for the first property in central Madrid.

The two companies are also partners on the Gran Hotel Velazquez in Madrid. That acquisition in 2017, becomes the seventh investment of Aina Hospitality in Europe and continues in line with the fund’s strategy of buying high-end properties (four and five stars) with high added value and potential.

In addition, they has recently made other acquisitions in Paris, Eindhoven, Vienna, Brussels and Berlin.

The BLESS Collection Hotels brand fits into Palladium Hotel Group’s strategy of expanding its contemporary luxury hotel offering around the world, building on both its city centre and beachside hotel portfolio.

The appetite for expansion follows recent successes with the group’s upscale brands and expansion opportunities in target destinations.

With this launch being the first of a series of new hotel openings, which will be announced in the next few months, the group continues to place a big bet on its strategies for international expansion and re-positioning.

Abel Matutes, CEO of Palladium Hotel Group says: “We are moving at a pace to roll-out the development of new brand ‘BLESS Collection Hotels’ with the first property planned to open in Madrid, followed by Ibiza in Summer 2019.

The new upscale brand will leverage our position in the premium market and draws on our existing experience within the luxury and lifestyle sector.

The concept of ‘contemporary luxury’ is aimed at an ever-growing ‘bleisure’ demographic looking for a combination of business and leisure including convenience, premium services, high tech facilities, strong design credentials and super-fast wifi as well as state-of-the-art health and well-being services and excellent gastronomy.”

The restaurant will be by world famous Basque chef, Martin Berasategui, holder of eight Michelin stars in total, more than any other Spanish chef. His eponymous restaurant in the Basque Country, which has three Michelin stars, has previously been voted “the best restaurant in the world”.

The hotel’s interiors are by renowned Spanish designer and architect Lázaro Rosa-Violan, whose Contemporain studio in Barcelona is behind some of the country’s most iconic venues. Lázaro’s mission is to give the hotel an authentically Madrid spirit and flavour.
