Owner: Angsana Corfu was transformed from the former San Stefano hotel in Benitses, Corfu island, into a luxurious 5-star unit by the KLC III Hellas company of the Kertsikof group, under whose control it was transferred 10 years ago by the Manesis family.
Manager/Brand: Angsana is brand formed in 2016 by a JV between Accor and Banyan Tree, that was part of a plan for Accor to take a stake in Banyan Tree, which didn’t happen but they remained friends…

The hotel is close to Achilleion Palace, once home to the famed Princess Sisi of Austria, and set on a hilltop spot overlooking the turquoise waters of the historical Benitses Bay. It boasts a close vicinity to the exotic Paxi and Antipaxi islets.
The resort offers a collection of 159 contemporary rooms and suites, plus 37 luxury villa homes built in the style of local architecture and laid out around the hilltop estate. The estate is surrounded by a landscape of exquisite beauty with Mediterranean gardens and olive tree groves overlooking the picturesque Benitses Bay, providing far-reaching views of the Ionian sea and the countryside surroundings.
Angsana Corfu places gastronomy pleasures high on its priority list. The resort offers options from fusion Asian cuisine and sushi bites to Greek cuisine with local Corfiot delicacies and tasty international favourites, with a range of signature restaurants, and outdoor dining terraces with sea-views and mountainous Corfu landscape.
The main outdoor infinity pool is complemented with an indoor heated pool and a kids’ pool. A personal fitness regime can be designed and executed at the state-of-the-art Gym and at the outdoor Yoga Pavilion.
THPT Comment: Good to see the JV survived the on-off plans for Accor taking a stake in Banyan Tree, with this marketing agreement.
