Developer: Meraas Holdings LLC…”Meraas is dedicated to implementing the vision of our wise leadership and consolidating Dubai’s status as a global tourist destination in line with the Dubai Tourism Vision 2020,” said His Excellency Abdulla Al Habbai, Group Chairman of Meraas.

Over the past five years, Meraas has expanded its business in the leisure and entertainment industry and invested in an innovative portfolio valued at AED18 billion.

The portfolio includes unique destinations and attractions such as Dubai Parks and Resorts, Roxy Cinemas, Hub Zero, Mattel Play! Town, The Green Planet, Dubai Arena at City Walk, Ain Dubai at Bluewaters and the upcoming Laguna Waterpark at La Mer.

A recent agreement appoints Meraas to represent Dubai Municipality in liaising with the operator, and entrusts the company with the responsibility for general supervision and performance management of Dubai Safari, in addition to leading its marketing efforts.

In December 2017, Dubai Municipality launched the pilot phase of Dubai Safari, a 12.8 million sq ft area of land that is home to more than 2,500 animals from around the world.

Dubai Safari offers an open safari experience, giving visitors the opportunity to see animals in an environment that recreates their habitat.

The destination includes a Kids’ Farm that enables youngsters to closely interact with animals in a safe outdoor setting, and the Wadi Area, where guests can enjoy a relaxing picnic by the waterfall.

Operator: Both of these hotels will represent Caesars Entertainment’s first non-gaming resorts. Situated along the beachfront on a man-made island, a variety of modern amenities will be a part of the experience including a beach club, Caesars Beach Club Bluewaters Dubai, indoor and outdoor pools, a spa with a dedicated wellness center and space for meetings and conventions and 12 restaurants and bars..

“Through our collaboration with Meraas, we anticipate Bluewaters Island will evolve into the region’s top hospitality, dining and entertainment destination,” said Mark Frissora, President and Chief Executive Officer of Caesars Entertainment.

With global superstars signed to its roster of regular performers, Caesars Entertainment has become the third largest live entertainment promoter worldwide and its Planet Hollywood property in Las Vegas is home to the Zappos Theater – the number one theatre venue in the world.

Since its beginning in Reno, Nevada, in 1937, Caesars Entertainment has grown through development of new resorts, expansions and acquisitions and its portfolio of subsidiaries now operate 47 casinos in 13 U.S. states and five countries.

Among other projects, Caesars is developing an integrated resort in Incheon, South Korea, has announced plans to build a meetings and conference centre in Las Vegas and has broken ground on a new Harrah’s-branded facility in Northern California.

The arrangements between Caesars Entertainment and Meraas are subject to final documentation.
