Buyer: Dorint Hotels & Resorts is adding a new construction project to its portfolio. Managing Director Karl-Heinz Pawlizki has now officially sealed the management contract, with a ten-year fixed term, for the Dorint Seehotel & Resort Klink/Müritz. The partner is the Avila Group, hitherto a mainly residential developer. Construction of the resort is scheduled to start in October 2020. It is scheduled to open in late 2022.

The new hotel building will have 248 guest rooms on five floors. The property is located adjacent to the well-known Müritz clinic, which with almost 4,500 patients is one of the largest rehabilitation clinics in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

Nevertheless, the hotel is said to be a “resort with a business character”. A conference area is planned with an expected eleven divisible conference rooms on around 580 sqm and an additional break area with 250 sqm, as well as a restaurant and bar on the 6th floor and an extensive fitness area. In order to meet the resort and health demands, there will be a spacious wellness and pool area, as well as opportunities for medical check-ups. Spacious outdoor facilities with direct access to Lake Müritz underline the resort character of the hotel.

The Dorint Seehotel & Resort Klink/Müritz is positioned in the 4-star superior segment. The management contract with Avila was signed with a fixed term of ten years plus two five-year options. The Avila Group, based in Berlin, is a complex group of companies centred around the parent company Avila Management & Consulting AG. Avila was founded in 2001 by Fathers Dr. Raimund Bruderhofer (OCD) and Konstantin Kurzhals (OCD) as well as the theologian and economist Dr. Douglas Fernando founded. The goal of the founding fathers was to make Christian traditions and values ​​visible and tangible again in society by means of a commercial enterprise.

The Dorint Group, based in Cologne, operates 63 hotels under the Dorint Hotels & Resorts, Hommage Luxury Hotels Collection and Essential by Dorint brands – three in Switzerland and one in Austria. The group now employs over 4,500 people. The traditional company belongs to the Holding Honestis AG.
