Buyer: Parks Hospitality, headed up bu Charles Elmann Fasja, CEO of Parks Desarrolladora. They currently have 17 hotels in Mexico, under the City Express, Fiesta Inn and at the top-end Hilton Mexico City Reforma and Hilton Mexico City Santa Fe.

THPT Comment: Hilton currently has a portfolio of more than 100 hotels and resorts open in Latin America, including more than 50 in Mexico.

The company is actively pursuing additional Latin American growth opportunities and currently has a pipeline of more than 70 hotels throughout the region, including nearly 30 projects in Mexico.

This year (2017), Hilton has opened seven hotels across four brands in the country, including the in-market debut of the Conrad Hotels & Resorts brand in San Luis Potosi. Juan Corvinos, is responsible for development for Hilton in Latin America and the Caribbean.
