IHG to Debut Holiday Inn in Cebu Business Park, Philippines

Location: Samar Loop, Cebu Business Park, Central Visayas – fifth most populated city in The Philippines and capital of the Southern Philippines. at the heart of the Business Park is the 9-heactare Ayala Centre Cebu shopping mall, attracting 60,000 visitors daily.

Buyer/Developer: Thai-based Erawan Group Public Company, headed by Petch Krainkukul, which already has 52 other hotels, with 7,238 rooms, across Thailand and South-East Asia, with their flagship hotels such as the Holiday Inn Pattaya, Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok, Renaissance Koh Samui and others.

Located in the same tower as Erawan Philippines’ owned Hop Inn (their budget chain) hotel, Holiday Inn Cebu City will be situated on the upper floors with its own separate entrance, lift and lobby.

THPT Comment: IHG appear to have very few hotels in The Philippines, so this is a welcome addition to that portfolio. Erawan, established some 35 back seem to have some top-end luxury hotels, as well a budget chain, under The Hop-Inn brand.
