Hotel guests will have access to unparalleled facilities, including a 20,000 sq ft. state-of-the-art health spa and fitness centre, a 10,000 sq ft. Conference & Banqueting Centre, restaurants and bars.

The hotel overlooks the new 340-berth Edinburgh Marina, which will be operated by internationally renowned owners and operators, Camper & Nicholsons Marinas.

The developer will provide an increased percentage of affordable homes, over the required quota.

The leading hotel asset management company, Michels & Taylor, is acting as advisors to the developer.

THPT Comment: Michels & Taylor are interesting company, made up of Sir David Michels, formerly CEO of Hilton and senior Sales Director at GrandMet and Hugh Taylor, formerly a senior executive at Hilton. They are kind of poacher turned gamekeeper in that they formed one of the earliest asset-management companies, in 2010, having experienced third party management companies running Hilton & Marriott hotels. They now own and manage hotels as well as provide asset management and consultancy with a growing portfolio of hotels in the UK and the rest of Europe.
