Jennifer Fox Resigns as Millennium & Copthorne Hotels CEO After Just 3 Months

Date: September 2018

Location:

Name: CEO Millennium & Copthorne Hotels

Millennium & Copthorne Hotels has announced that Jennifer Fox will step down from her role as chief executive of the company with immediate effect.

Fox has only been in the role three months.

She will be replaced on an interim basis by Tan Kian Seng, the current group chief of staff.

Fox is a former president of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, and previously spent ten years with InterContinental Hotels Group.

An industry veteran, with more than 30 years experience in the hospitality sector, she replaced Aloysius Lee, who had resigned in January.

When her appointment was announced in April 2018, Fox planned to continue as an independent non-executive director of Village Roadshow, an Australian mass media and entertainment company.

No reasons for the departure were given.

The hotel group reported first half revenue fell to £477 million last month, compared to £485 million the previous year.

THPT Comment: When Jennifer’s appointment was announced, a small group of people we know, that have known Mill & Cop for a while, did start a book on how-long?!

Shame as Ms Fox has a great reputation to be able to run a business of this size.
