Lore Group to Relaunch London’s Former Ace Hotel as One Hundred Shoreditch

Former Owner/Brand: Starwood Capital switched the property from Crowne Plaza branding to Ace, reopening it in 2013 before selling out. Ace withdrew during the pandemic in 2020, with the brand losing its first hotel outside the USA.
New Owner/Brand: Hospitality company Lore Group has announced plans to reopen the former Ace Hotel as One Hundred Shoreditch.
The property has been closed since the onset of Covid-19 in early 2020, and last September it was confirmed that it would no longer continue to operate under the Ace Hotel brand.
At the time the property’s operator Lore Group stated that it would take over management of the hotel, and the firm has now confirmed that it will reopen as One Hundred Shoreditch (a nod to the hotel’s location on Shoreditch High Street).
According to the site the property has undergone a redesign, and will feature 258 rooms, six restaurants and bars “including a restaurant and wine bar specialising in locally sourced seafood, a destination cocktail bar and a rooftop bar and terrace, offering panoramic views over East London”.

Commenting on the revamp Lore Group’s creative director Jacu Strauss said: “The redesign reflects how Shoreditch has evolved during the last decade with the interiors mirroring the new grown-up character of the neighbourhood.
“In the guest rooms emphasis is placed on calm and comfort, while the restaurant and bar spaces retain the fun and energy for which this part of London is so well known.”
THPT Comment: Lore group, with their portfolio of fine hotels in Washington, Amsterdam and London, will no doubt justice to this new hotel in London’s trendy Shoreditch.
