Seller: The hotel is part of Catalyst Capital’s retail led mixed-use development, Gardiner Place in the old Loch Fyne restaurant on Market Place.

Owner: August will see new food-driven boutique hotel, Crockers Henley open its doors after a transformation project.

The hotel will be the second opening from former chef, CEO Luke Garnsworthy, following the launch of Crockers Tring in spring 2018.

The Grade-II listed building on Henley’s Market Place has been transformed by Ali Hearn Interiors. The hotel will boast three food dining areas, including two 16-seat chef’s tables and the Bar & Grill, alongside seven boutique bedrooms and was originally scheduled to open in the spring.

Chief executive, Luke Garnsworthy, comments: “I am incredibly excited to be opening Crockers Henley after what has felt like the longest period of uncertainty in our industry. The team we have in place is truly exceptional and have shown remarkable resilience and determination over the past few months. Henley is in for a treat when we can open our doors on 1st August, and I can’t wait to see the response.”

Each chef’s table will present its own experience-led and relaxed fine-dining offering.

The Thames Table overseen by head chef Dean Westcar, will serve a seasonal, modern British tasting menu, whilst The Gardiner Table, led by head chef Iain Dixon, will see a Pan-Asian tasting experience take centre-stage.

Both will present a 7-course lunch and 12-course dinner. The Grill will provide a more relaxed drinking and dining destination and will offer all day dining as well as brunch at the weekends, led by head chef Tom Westerland.

Each of the bedrooms will comprise super king beds, roll-top baths and statement lighting pieces.
