Manager: Sercotel Hotel Group will operate a new hotel in the metropolitan area of Barcelona. The hotel, which to date was part of the NH portfolio, will open its doors, this week under the name Sercotel Cornellá Barcelona.
The establishment will become part of the Sercotel chain and will operate under the group’s urban brand, Sercotel Hotels. It will be their first in this municipality and the 20th in the province of Barcelona.
With this new opening, Sercotel Hotel Group maintains the forecasts of it’s expansion plan in Spain and continues to bet on the growth of the tourism return on the peninsula, this time with a new hotel very oriented to the business client.
The three-star, 78-room Sercotel Cornellá Barcelona is located in Av. Can Corts, next to the Canal de la Infanta Park. The hotel is well connected to both the fairgrounds and business areas of the city and the airport.
Facilities include a café, parking, an outdoor swimming pool, a gym and divisble meeting rooms. The rooms are fully equipped and have facilities superior to their official category. The hotel has modern spaces adapted to the needs of the business guest, meetings and groups, and in turn meet the standards set by the chain owned by Grupo Corporativo Landon.
Work has started on upgrading the hotel to meet the brand standard of the Sercotel Hotels brand, especially with regard to the digitization of the guest experience, highlighting key points such as online check-in and digital access to the offer available during the stay.
In addition, all health safety components are being put into operation under the parameters of its “Safe Spaces” program, which is certified by Bureau Veritas Global Safe Site that the chain has implemented in all its hotels.
Francisco Marco, Corporate Director of Expansion at Sercotel Hotel Group, stressed: “The incorporation of this new hotel reinforces our commitment to the corporate segment and the area of influence of Barcelona, especially the southern part of the city, where districts such as Cornellá, Hospitalet de Llobregat or El Prat have enormous potential thanks to their proximity to Barcelona El Prat Airport and the fairgrounds.
Last November we announced the opening of a new hotel in El Prat de Llobregat, scheduled for 2023, and look forward to continuing to grow in the region with new establishments.”
Sercotel has a total of 149 hotels in more than 100 destinations in Spain, Andorra, Portugal, Italy, Colombia, Ecuador, Panama and Mexico, with about 12,700 rooms in different types of management, leasing, franchise and marketing.
