Date: October 2018
Location: Randolph Street, Chicago’s West Loop, Illinois, USA
Name: The Nobu Hotel Chicago – opening 2019
No. of Keys: 115
Owner: Nobu Hotels is headed for Chicago in 2019, with the hotel due to launch in 2019 in Chicago’s West Loop, which is home to the city’s famed “Restaurant Row.”
“It’s a fantastic hotel that will hold up to Nobu’s brand standards,” says Frank Maduro, vice president of marketing at AIC Hotel Group, which spearheads sales and marketing efforts for Nobu, Hard Rock and UNICO hotels.
As with Nobu’s other hotels, this property’s culinary product will be a major focus. In addition to a 10,000-square-foot, ground floor Nobu restaurant, there will also be a “Nobu on the Roof” concept, which will have indoor and outdoor bar space looking out onto “Restaurant Row.”
The new hotel’s rooms and suites will have a design spotlighting the Nobu brand’s blend of old world Japanese and modern design.
It will also have a 3,630-square-foot fitness centre with Technogym equipment, a spa, 3,245 square feet of multi-use suite space for private social functions and corporate events and an indoor swimming pool.
2019 will also see the debut of Nobu Los Cabos, the brand’s first property in Mexico. Other Nobu Hotels are in development for Barcelona, Riyadh, Toronto, São Paulo, Atlanta, and Tel Aviv.
THPT Comment: AIC is interesting…All Inclusive Collection – the brand that markets the first-ever all-inclusive Hard Rock Hotels and Hard Rock-branded golf courses, changed it’s name recently to AIC Hotel Group.
They say the name change serves as an indication of the brand’s commitment to diversify and expand its current portfolio to include EP hotels, and reflects the evolution of the brand as a more all-encompassing collection.
The AIC Hotel Group is exclusively contracted by RCD Hotels to spearhead the sales and marketing efforts for luxury resort properties in Florida, including Eden Roc Miami Beach and Nobu Hotel Miami Beach, as well as throughout Mexico and the Caribbean, including Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana (the first all-inclusive Hard Rock Hotel) in addition to six Mexico properties including Hard Rock Hotel Cancun, Hard Rock Hotel Vallarta, Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya, Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos (set to open in 2019), Nobu Hotel Los Cabos (set to open in 2019) and UNICO 20˚87˚ Hotel Riviera Maya, the first of a new luxury all-inclusive concept.
The AIC Hotel Group was at the forefront of introducing the all-inclusive concept to Mexico more than 30 years ago.
