Buyer: Serge Pereira, chairman, from the owning company, Unicon Conakry, said: “We are excited to be partnering with Radisson Hotel Group, introducing them to the Republic of Guinea, with the debut of the fastest growing hotel brand in Africa, their flagship brand, Radisson Blu.

Unicon just opened the first five star hotel in the region – The Hotel Palm Camayenne – Guinea Conakry, in May 2018, and has the 140-room Nelson Mandela Hotel in Brazzaville, since 2014.

The signing of Radisson Blu Hotel Conakry has added another market to the fast-growing Radisson Hotel Group portfolio, bringing it to a total of 31 active African markets.

Scheduled to open in 2019, the Radisson Blu Hotel, Conakry will be the brand’s first property in the capital city of Guinea, an important hub within Francophone west Africa.

The hotel will be ideally positioned near the city centre, and will be surrounded by the Convention Centre, Palais du Peuple, the National Hospital and multiple embassies.
Conakry International Airport will be less than ten kilometres away.
