RMA Builds Motel One with Retail and Offices in Koblenz

Buyer: Real Estate Management Assistance – RMA, a Düsseldorf project developer.

RMA is building a Motel One in downtown Koblenz. According to its managing director Christoph Röhr, the new building will replace an existing one at Löhrstraße 28-30 which was last used by Zara and Mayersche Buchhandlung, and which has now been empty for about a year.

RMA is acting on behalf of a family office which acquired the property last year.

A long-term lease for 177 hotel rooms has recently been signed with Motel One.

In addition to the hotel (5,000 sqm), the new building will offer 1,000 sqm of retail space on the ground floor and 1,500 sqm of office space on its staggered 4th and 5th floors.

Plans also include an underground parking garage for 60 vehicles. The €35mn+ project is expected to be completed during the course of 2020.

THPT Comment: Motel One are steaming ahead with some 70 hotels, 19,000 rooms in nine countries in Europe, with 20 more in the pipeline.
