Scandic Hotels to Open in Voss, Norway

Buyer: Developers are Bane NOR Eiendom, who have an estimated gross value of NOK 45 billion. and Odfjell Eiendom, a commercial property company with 100,000 sq. mtrs of buildings in Bergent city centre.

Bane NOR Eiendom has 200 employees and manages and operates 337 operational train stations and stops. The portfolio comprises a total of 2,500 buildings and 3,300 leases. The company has 230 ongoing property development projects, and annual investments will amount to approx. 1.2 billion kroner.

Scandic will be managing the new hotel, with a long lease. Scandic is the largest hotel company in the Nordic region with 16,000 team members and a network of around 280 hotels in operation and under development in more than 130 destinations.

Scandic Hotels is listed on Nasdaq Stockholm. Even Frydenberg is President & CEO of Scandic Hotels Group.

When Scandic Voss opens, it becomes Scandic’s ninth hotel only in the Hordaland region. Voss stands out as an area of solid growth, with hotel stays rising by 11 per cent in 2017.
