Buyer: City & Country Hotels Ltd a subsidiary of Arab Investments and sister hotel to The Wellesley, operated under the Luxury Collection (Marriott) brand. Also within the company is the MY The Wellesley yacht, available to charter at around £200,000 per week.
Arab Investments also own Ten Manchester Street Hotel and office buildings and retail in London as well as in Brandenburg & Berlin in Germany. The company was founded by Mohammed Affara in 1982.
THPT Comment: The quiet, understated company has quietly presented some fabulous decadent (art deco) luxury with the hotels in London, this new property, The Langley, and even its own 6 cabin, 1920’s styled, 56m luxury yacht with two tenders – a 10m chase boat and a 4.5m sea tender!! Wow!
