Buyer: Canadian company, The Vista Group. Kyle Stevenson, managing director of the Ontario-based hotel and hospitality group, said increasing passenger traffic for the past three years at BWI Marshall Airport helped make the newly redesigned hotel attractive.
The hotel has an indoor pool, restaurant, lobby bar and business centre
Vista owns eight other hotels in the United States and Canada, such as the Marina Inn at Myrtle Beach, Radisson at JFK Airport and the Crowne Plaza Downtown at Orlando.
Price: Undisclosed…the state valued the at nearly $21 million for tax purposes.
THPT Comment: Berkadia and it’s two component partners don’t seem mainstream in hotels, albeit giants in construction finance, whereas Vista is making good inroads with this, their 9th hotel…makes sense.
