Hilton has begun taking reservations for its Conrad Los Angeles property, for stays from June 1, 2022.
The 305-room hotel is located in the city’s downtown district, within the Frank Gehry-designed mixed-use development The Grand LA, which is also set to offer retail, dining, entertainment and residential space.
Conrad Los Angeles has been designed by interior architecture studio Tara Bernard and Partners, whose previous clients include the Four Seasons Hotel at London Park Lane, the Kimpton Fitzroy London and the Rosewood Munich.
The 28-storey property will feature views of the Walt Disney Concert Hall – another of Frank Gehry’s works – from its rooftop terrace, and will offer two dining concepts by Spanish-American chef and restaurateur José Andrés.
Located in the hotel’s 10th floor arrival lobby, these will include an open-air Latin and Asian-inspired venue, and a restaurant “dedicated to classic Spanish flavours and dishes that come alive with Southern California’s vibrant, farm-fresh ingredients”.
There will also be a lobby bar “designed to celebrate the spirit of the desert and the Pacific Ocean”, as well as an outdoor swimming pool, and spa with infrared sauna, wave room, and a next-generation thermal bath.
Hilton currently operates over 40 Conrad properties across five continents, including six US hotels. Conrad Nashville is set to open in August, and last year the group announced plans for a Conrad property situated next to Walt Disney World in Orlando.

THPT Comment: One hasn’t heard so much from Hilton regarding their Conrad brand, witness only six hotels in the USA, so good to see this inspiring designed hotel within a multi-use environment
