Deka Immobilien Acquires the W Amsterdam

THPT Comment: Seller and Buyer are serious players, albeit not “well-known” names. Fentonir is the owner of a portfolio consisting of 55 hotels with approx. 6,500 hotel rooms,  mainly throughout Germany, Amsterdam and Antwerp. Hotels accounted for 8% or €2.7 bn of Deka Immobilien’s €33.3 bn of assets under management at end-2016. Whilst lovely inside, the W is somewhat of an eye-sore from the exterior compared to the beauty of Dam Square architecture!
