IHG Hotels & Resorts has opened it’s first dual-branded avid hotels and Holiday Inn & Suites property in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, US.

Operated under the ownership of Image Hotel Management, the five-storey hotel/Holiday Inn & Suites is situated within 10 miles of the Nashville International Airport.

The hotel provides business and leisure visitors with 168 total rooms, which include 96 Holiday Inn & Suites and 72 avid hotels.

Additionally, it gives access to shared spaces, including a heated indoor pool, fitness center, 1,800 sqf of meeting space and outdoor common areas.

The avid hotel/Holiday Inn & Suites also marks IHG’s transformed importance on dual-branded properties considering rising market demand from owners.

IHG’s dual-branded properties that are recently opened and soon-to-open include EVEN Hotels/Staybridge Suites Rochester Mayo Clinic Area with 250 rooms, Staybridge Suites/Holiday Inn Express Houston – Galleria Area, voco hotel/Holiday Inn Chicago Downtown – Wolf Point.

In October this year, IHG announced expansion of it’s presence in Europe with the signing of new voco hotel in Paris, France.

Image have some 18 managed hotels, under the Hilton, Comfort, Marriott and IHG brands, four in the pipeline and a further eight partner-managed hotels…under the leadership of Neil Patel and family.

THPT Comment: Surprised that this is IHG’s first US dual-brand considering the several they have in Europe….and certainly a way go in the future, as they can share common facilities like pools, restaurant etc
