Buyer: Les Hôtels d’en Haut, a luxury boutique hotel operator in France’s main leisure markets, today announced the acquisition of three hotels in Provence: Domaine de Capelongue, Le Moulin de Lourmarin and Le Galinier de Lourmarin, owned by Édouard Loubet. This acquisition brings the Hotels d’en Haut portfolio to eight hotels, with 309 rooms and 11 restaurants, three of which have Michelin stars.

“We are grateful to the Loubet family and we are delighted to bring Les Hôtels d’en Haut to these exceptional new locations. These exceptional hotels are the next strategic step in the continued growth of Les Hôtels d’en Haut“, said Eric Dardé, President and CEO of Les Hôtels d’en Haut.

All three hotels are located in the Luberon region of Provence in France.

The Domaine de Capelongue has 30 rooms, two restaurants, a spa and offers a panoramic view of the village of Bonnieux. The Moulin de Lourmarin has 19 rooms, a restaurant and faces the 12th century Lourmarin castle.

Finally, the Galinier is an 18th century Provencal country house with 15 rooms located in a secluded oasis on the edge of the village of Lourmarin.

“By ceding our family houses to the Hôtels d’en Haut, we have chosen a hotel group with similar values to ours. Certain that they will be able to maintain the spirit of excellence that has always animated us“, said Édouard Loubet.

“This acquisition marks the beginning of our strategy to acquire high-end hotels in major seasonal leisure destinations across Europe,” said Alexander Rae, Head of M&A for Hotels d’en Haut.

THPT Comment: Interesting move for a giant like KSL to pursue small, but stylish hotels such as these three.
