In December 2021, Propreal completed the sale of the Regent Hotel Berlin to real estate funds managed by Blackstone.
The luxury hotel is exceptionally located in central Berlin next to Gendarmenmarkt, one block from Friedrichstrasse and within walking distance of major attractions including the Brandenburg Gate, Reichstag, and Checkpoint Charlie.
The hotel has 195 rooms, including 39 suites, and offers expansive amenities such as a spa, restaurant, and cocktail bar.
Propreal, an independent property investor, acquired and actively managed the hotel since 2014 on behalf of one of its funds.

At Propreal, we remain confident in the sector and continue to focus our investment strategy on Core and Value Add in key cities across continental Europe” The seller was advised by Hogan Lovells Germany, Rutsaert Legal and RSM during the transaction.
Regent was a luxury brand founded in 1970 by famous, at the time, hotelier Robert Burns…sold initially to Four Seasons – the properties and Radisson – the brand in 1998! In 2018 IHG bought a 51% stake in Regent Hotels – the brand. The Regent Berlin opened in 1996 as the Four Seasons Berlin, and converted to The Regent in 2004.
