Radisson Hotel Group and Cosmos Hotel Group, part of the AFK Sistema company, have signed an agreement under which part of Cosmos Hotel Group’s hotels will benefit from the international hotel chain Radisson Hotel Group, while maintaining their own brand and identity.
Radisson Hotel Group is one of the world’s largest hotel groups with nine distinctive hotel brands, and more than 1,600 hotels in operation and under development in 120 countries.
Under the agreement, 7 existing hotels currently in the Cosmos Hotel Group’s portfolio will join the Radisson Individuals brand. Another 4 hotels are committed to open by 2025 under this dual branding. In the future, the number of Cosmos Hotels that will be a member of Radisson Individuals could increase. Radisson Individuals offers independent hotels and regional chains the opportunity to be part of the global Radisson Hotel Group platform, and benefit from the Group’s global reach, while retaining the freedom to maintain their own uniqueness and identity.
Cosmos Hotel Group is one of the largest hotel management companies on the Russian market. Cosmos Hotel Group’s portfolio includes more than 20 hotels in 15 Russian and global cities, including properties under famous international brands (Holiday Inn Express, Hilton Garden Inn) owned by Sistema, and five third-party owners. The room stock under management is 7,000 rooms

THPT Comment: This announcement comes on the heels of the opening last month of the new 169-room Radisson Hotel Gorizont Rostov-on-Don. Radisson Hotel Group’s position in Russia continues to strengthen…according to EY’s 2021 report there are 210 hotels in Russia, operated by 20 global hotel chains.
