Buyer: Serviced apartment specialists, Supercity Aparthotels has purchased ‘The Light Aparthotel’ an 81,000sq. ft site in Manchester’s vibrant Northern Quarter. This is the sixth addition to their current portfolio of three London aparthotels with two further openings planned for 2018 in London and Brighton.

Supercity have acquired the current aparthotel as a going concern, and will continue to operate with plans to refurbish and re-launch in 2018. The 19 storey property is a mixed-use development of 172 apartments, 62 of which are operated as The Light Aparthotel.

THPT Comment: This young company (maybe not so young, started in 2005), led by Dean Madge as MD, he being formerly GM of two of Cheval Apartments properties, and Alexis Burton, CEO clearly is going places with this their 4th UK property with more in the pipeline.
