Swiss Firm buys Three Mercure Hotels in North Rhine-Westphalia

Seller: Langdor Hotels, who purchased the hotels in 2010…these were their only hotels.

Buyer: somnOO, a Swiss Hotel owner and operator, who have invested in Germany for the first time. They currently have 26 hotels, all in France, mostly under the Accor brand. Lars Backhaus and Christian Rousseau are CEOs and owners of somnOO.

Together with its financial partners Rive PI, Extendam, and 123 IM, the firm has bought the three Mercure hotels in a share deal.

Extendam, headed up by Jean-Marc Palhon, CEO, already have financial interest in several three and four star hotels in France & Germany, mostly under Accor brands, with €700m assets under management..

Support for the transaction was provided by KPMG Deutschland and Ideact Paris and the purchase was financed by the savings banks of HagenHerdecke and Lüdenscheid.

Colliers International brokered the deal and supported the seller.

The three establishments will continue to be operated under the Mercure brand.
