Yotel to Open Property at Istanbul New Airport

Operator: Yotel has signed an exclusive hotel management contract with IGA, the operator of Istanbul New airport, to open a property at the hub.
The hotel will consist of 451 rooms, 102 of which will have airside access for passengers in transit. Both parts of the property will feature public spaces, co-working and relaxing areas, wellness centres and planted glazed atriums.
The landside zone will also include a restaurant, bar and 24/7 gym. There will also be a selection of meeting spaces of varying size fitted with technology.

THPT Comment: Yotel has changed beyond all belief since Simon Woodroffe and Gerard Greene started the concept in 2007 (first hotel at London Gatwick airport)…now 8 Yotesl at Amsterdam Schiphol, Paris Charles de Gaulle, London Heathrow, San Francisco (opening 2018), Singapore, Boston & New York.

Simon sold the company to a Kuwaiti property firm and is now onto his Yo Home project, a firm that makes prefabricated homes where walls slide away and dining tables rise from the kitchen floor.
The first set of flats is expected to be launched in Manchester this year.
