CitySuites, part of Select Property Group, will unveil its second aparthotel in Manchester Town Centre in January 2022. Select also run Vita Developments, big in student accommodation in Manchester.
CitySuites II will be located in Manchester’s Blackfriars area, at Embankment West, close to Manchester Cathedral. The aparthotel will comprise 142 residences, from studios (33.5 sqm) to three-bedroom residences (105.8 sqm). Each is designed to combine the “touches of a lodge with the distance, privateness and luxury of house”.
Five penthouses will occupy the top three floors of CitySuites II. The star attraction will be a 256 sqm, three-bedroom duplex penthouse that occupies the sixteenth and seventeenth floors with a wrap-around balcony looking over the Manchester skyline.
Each residence is equipped with a sofa, a seating area, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a well-fitted kitchen with a dining area, a safety deposit box and a private bathroom with bathrobes. A dishwasher, a microwave and fridge are also available, as well as a kettle and a coffee machine.
Amenities will include a 24-hour concierge, laundry and dry-cleaning services and products, and co-working areas, plus 18-metre pool, spa pool, steam room and gymnasium.
CitySuites’ residences are designed for the needs of business and leisure guests, whether they stay for a night or a year.

THPT Comment: Manchester is one of the UK’s hot spots for investors in, and operators of extended stay properties. The Select Property Group is locally based and certainly knows the city’s potential. Currently Manchester is 11 per cent serviced apartments, but some think that it will soon go to the same level as Australia where there’s a 50/50 split between serviced apartments and hotel rooms.
