Thailand-based Narai Hospitality Group has debuted a new luxury brand Marasca Hotels & Resorts (MHR). MHR is NHG’s foray into casual luxury hospitality and is positioned as a collection of intimate, casual luxury escapes in unique locations. MHG’s first property, Marasca Khao Yai, is set to be opened late 2022 and will be an 18-key luxury countryside retreat destination. MHR also plans to open another property, Marasca Koh Samui in 2023, with plans for further expansion in Thailand.
“Marasca is named after a type of cherry, which shaped the essence of our brand,” said Ms. Nithida Nithivasin, Director of Narai Hospitality Group. “We want to create ‘cherry-on-top’ moments for our guests through stylish designs and high-quality amenities, whilst offering welcoming experiences to make them feel truly at home—a space where you can spend time to reset while traveling and rediscovering yourself.”
The brand’s debut property, Marasca Khao Yai, is located in the scenic mountain range of Khao Yai, an UNESCO World Heritage Site about 2 hours by car from Bangkok.
The 18-key Marasca Khao Yai, styled as a luxury countryside retreat, will offer guests a variety of accommodation types, ranging from villas to luxurious glamping tents and glamper vans, all with stunning mountain views, private outdoor tubs and a personal fire pit.
Facilities at the resort will include in-villa private dining, the Tree Top: tea house & farmer’s café, The Stardeck for stargazing with a drink, The Meadow – a lush flower garden, a communal fire pit and a kid’s club.
The company has said that it expects its first two resorts in Khao Yai and Samui to be followed by more properties in other parts of Thailand.
With more than 50 years of experience in the industry, Narai Hospitality operates the Narai Hotel in Bangkok as well as the hip lifestyle Lub d brand with 5 properties across South East Asia. The group also has hotel investments in Australia and management platforms in Europe.
